We’re celebrating our 11th year in Bellingham teaching
drawing and painting for children, teens, and adults.

Over the past 11 years BellinghamART has taught thousands of public, private school and homeschool children and teens. We also teach an ever growing number of adults who are learning visual perception, drawing and painting.

Drawing is the foundation for all visual art and learning the basics will give students an appreciation for art and world cultures. It gives them the tools for creative expression, improved problem solving skills, and pride in their artistic accomplishments. By breaking down the art subject into simple shapes and building on that one step at a time our students learn to see the individual parts that make up drawings and paintings.

BellinghamART classes reflect a conviction that anyone, at any age, can learn to draw and paint. Our supportive environment is free of competition and other distractions helps to foster the concentration necessary for all of our students to achieve their artistic goals.

She is so pleased

She is the only Canadian who placed first, second or third in any category. From proud parents “Cambria's art won third place in the Focus on the Family's "How Great Thou Artists" contest. It's displayed in this month's magazine. She placed in the 12 and Older category from 1,300 entries over all. Not bad for a girl who started with basic art skills”. It's the hedgehog on the bottom right.

Our new painting studio and office.

We’ve just completed ‘musical chairs’ and a remodel at the Creekside Building. We have a fresh new drawing and painting room in Studio #209. You’ll find it at the very end of our entry corridor. It has great lighting and ventilation as well as a new work counter and sink. It’s larger than our old one and should be a great environment for drawing and painting. And, you’ll find Lynn’s office right next door in Studio 207. It’s ideally situated between our three studios. It has fantastic light and a wonderful view of Whatcom Creek. In fact with this view it’s going to be very hard to actually get work done in the office.
