Over 300 children, teens and adults attended our 2010 Summer Art Camps and Workshops.
Our 3-day Mini Camps for ages 4 to 5 offered themes such as Jungle Boogie, A Big Backyard, Farmyard Animals and Dinosaur Days for younger artists to enjoy. Children learned the ‘ABCs’ of drawing and painting and developed fine motor skills through beginning drawing and painting. Each day included stories, music and a nutritious snack.
Young artists learned the basics of drawing and painting in our Camps for ages 5 1/2 to 8 and worked on art and craft projects, and enjoyed daily stories and music. Each camp emphasized fun, creating quality art and craftwork, and building art skills that made this an experience to remember.
In our Camps for ages 8 and up students created an interesting folk art or craft project using silk painting, block printing, polymer clay figures or ceramic painting. Each camp used themes such as Cartooning & Animation, Tropical Rainforest Art, Middle Ages Adventures, Wild Cat Art, Beneath the Salish Sea, Land of the Sun and Moon and Lands of Myths and Legends.
Beginning and advanced teen and adult artists worked to create art with confidence and expertise in our Workshops for Teens and Adults. Each workshop emphasized the value of the process to teach and broaden their view of themselves as an artist and provides a meaningful experience to learn art skills, foster personal growth and unleash creativity.
