Life Drawing and Painting2 1/2 hour studio (non-instructional) Minors may attend with permission. A weekly (Tuesday 7:00 to 9:30 pm) drop-in studio session held without an instructor. Models are nude, and hold long poses that are lit with a single-source light designed for both drawing and painting. Some drawing horses and French easels are available, however you will need to bring all of your own tools and materials. Cost is $12 a session. For information Email Joyce Prigot
Landscape Painting: Essential Concepts and Techniques for Plein Air and Studio Practice Check out Mitchell Albala’s new book! Mitchell Albala teaches landscape painting at Gage Academy of Art in Seattle. A respected teaching artist for more than 25 years, he has also lectured at the Seattle Art Museum, and written for American Artist. He hosts an educational website at mitchalbala.com and is represented by Lisa Harris Gallery in Seattle.His book, Landscape Painting: Essential Concepts and Techniques for Plein Air and Studio Practice, was published by Watson-Guptill/Random House in 2009.
