![]() Life Drawing and Painting Group Figure Study/Open Studio-Long Pose Tuesday evening life figure sessions offer artists at any level an "open studio" for studying a longer nude pose for either drawing or painting. Sessions are held without an instructor. Model stays in same pose (with breaks) for the 2 1/2 hours. Models are booked for two or more consecutive sessions to enable artists to create a more involved study. French easels and drawing horses are available but you must bring your own drawing and /or painting materials. There is a multitude of media that may be used. They include: Pencils and/or drawing sticks (graphite, charcoal (used gingerly), colored, etc.- but not powdered forms: use high-grade charcoal pencils); Pens and/or inks; Conte sticks (wax bases); Low odor markers. Painting media: Watercolor; Oils-tubes and sticks (with Gamsol solvent); Acrylics; Gouache; Tempera. No chalk or pastels please. Please arrive a bit before 7 so you are set-up and ready to work when the session begins. If you need or want to leave early, please remove your equipment during the break so it is not disruptive to the group's work time. 7 to 9:30 p.m. $14 cash per session or $48 for 4 consecutive sessions.
