8-12 year olds | Paper Mâché Sculpting

This class runs on Mondays from 4:30-6pm (taught by Teacher Maxwell. Running April 8 - June 3 (8 classes - no class on Memorial Day). AND Thursdays from 3:30-5pm (taught by Teacher Amy. Running April 11 - May 30 (8 classes).

For our spring session, we will be trying something brand new – a class on paper mâché! In this class we will creating a paper mâché sculpture of a decorative elephant or armadillo (your choice). Starting from square one, we will design our creatures, and build armatures for them. From there we will learn to mix our own paper mâché recipe, and start building. Paper mâché is a slow process, so we will spend several weeks building up our sculptures. Once finished we will paint the outside of these fabulous works of art and get them ready to display. Focus for this class will be put on designing and working in 3-D. This will be a fun one!
